Dr. Kerri Anne Garrard’s article titled ‘Finding a way in for interculturality: Analysing history teachers’ conceptualisations at the secondary school level’ has been published in Discourse: Studies in the Cultural Politics of Education. You can read it in full here.
Professor David Lowe reflected on how future historians will write about 2020 and the impacts that historians can have on current policy-making in an interview with this.
Events.
The History Council of Victoria’s annual lecture will take place on Thursday 8th October. Titled Futures Past and Possible: Histories of and for Tomorrow, this lecture will be presented by environmental historian and historian of science Ruth Morgan. The 2020 program for the Word For Word Festival has launched. Professor David McCooey will chair an event titled Hidden Illness. Speakers on this panel include Jacinta Parsons, Karen Hitchcock and Astrid Edwards.

CHRG Seminar Series.
The CHRG trimester two seminar series has now come to an end. Thank you to all those who were able to attend, and a big thank you to all of our trimester two presenters: Filip Slaveski, Henry Reese, Andrea Witcomb, Gwyn McClelland, Hirokazu Matsui, Gabrielle Wolf, Tony Joel, Niro Kandasamy, Mia Martin Hobbs and Greg Burgess.

These enable visits to a Canadian or foreign university with a Canadian studies programmefor a teaching or research fellowship. The grant is worth CAD 2,500 per month over one to three months, plus the cost of a return airline ticket.
