Australia-India Student Mobility: Experiences, Lessons and Transformations
This project will analyse outcomes of the New Colombo Plan’s Australia-India student mobility scheme. It aims to transfer successful NCP elements into building leadership and resilience among Indian international students in Australia. The project will highlight barriers and strategies for successful intercultural exchange, and look at NCP recipients’ contribution to Australia’s public diplomacy outcomes. This project aims to demonstrate that innovative intercultural learning is crucial to the success of the New Colombo Plan and Australia’s position in the international student market. It is imperative to explore how Australian students who study in India can work along with Indian students to strengthen social skills, intercultural values and cross-cultural dispositions. These educational outcomes are crucial for strengthening Australia-India cultural diplomacy.
