Welcome to our new member, postgraduate student Heather Cameron.
Heather has recently commenced her PhD, titled ‘Cancer Poetry’. Heather’s working background spans over 30 years working in healthcare across New Zealand and Australia, in the fields of Palliative Care, Aged Care and Clinical Education and Training. Her roles have included clinical areas of counselling and social work, education, project work, management and health promotion. As well, Heather works as a clinical facilitator for Deakin University in the School of Psychology’s Unit on Collaborative Practice in Healthcare, and as a writer. Her published work includes, “Different but the same; young people talk about living with serious illness” (Lothian, Melbourne, 1998), a range of short stories and more recently, some poetry.
