Professor Klaus Neumann‘s suite of seven essays about Germany’s response to the European refugee crisis which appeared in Inside Story in 2015 and 2016 have been shortlisted for the 2017 Australian Migration and Settlement Awards. The award ceremony will be on 22 March at Parliament House in Canberra.
Klaus has held teaching and research positions at universities in Germany and Australia, and worked as an independent historian in Australia and New Zealand, and will present a paper titled ‘Representing Multicultural Australia in National and State Libraries’ at the Contemporary Histories Research Group’s Seminar Series on 15 March.
