Dr Amit Sarwal’s Forthcoming Publication: Louise Lightfoot in Search of India

Dr Amit Sarwal‘s new publication, Louise Lightfoot in Search of India: An Australian Dancer’s Experience, will be published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing in May 2017. 

Dr Sarwal is an Endeavour Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Contemporary Histories Research Group (CHRG), Deakin University. He is also an Honorary Associate Professor (Visiting) of RMIT University, the Founding Convenor of Australia-India Interdisciplinary Research Network (AIIRN), and a Producer with SBS Radio Hindi. His areas of interest include South Asian Diaspora, Cross-Public and Cultural Diplomacy, Australia-India relations, and Bollywood. His research papers have appeared in prominent journals such as Dance Chronicle, Dance ResearchAntipodesSouth Asian Popular CultureSouth Asian Diaspora and Culture, Society and Masculinities. He has many books to his credit, prominent being: Wanderings in India (2012), Enriched Relations (2013), Bollywood and Its Other(s) (2014), Labels and Locations (2015), Salaam Bollywood (2016), and South Asian Diaspora Narratives (2016).
