Associate Professor Maria Takolander will be one of the judges (along with Peter Goldsworthy) of the 2017 Newcastle Short Story Award, a national competition that opens for submissions on 17 October 2016. Keep an eye on the website.

Maria teaches Literary Studies and Professional & Creative Writing in the School of Communication and Creative Arts at Deakin University. Maria supervises Honours and postgraduate students in Literary Studies and Creative Writing.
