CHRG Members Attend Second Annual IEAA Sponsor Forum in Canberra

AnnaKentUpdatedProfileImageOn the 7th and 8th April, the second annual International Education Association of Australia (IEAA) Sponsor Forum was held in Canberra. This year the forum focused on the theme of Past, Present, Future.  More than 60 delegates and speakers came to the Australian National University to hear presentations and network with other scholarship professionals, students, alumni and sponsor bodies.

Presentations were made by diplomats representing sponsor programs, and representatives from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trading (Australia Awards), the Department of Education and Training (Endeavour Awards) and the Department of Defence (Defence Cooperation Scholarship Program). Highlights included the student and alumni panels, where delegates were able to hear exactly how these scholarship programs impact on individuals. CHRG members Professor David Lowe, Dr Jemma Purdey and Anna Kent also presented research on scholarship programs. Anna Kent is also the convener of the IEAA Sponsored Students Special Interest Group, which organised the event.
