Dr Bart Ziino spoke in August at the National Museum of Australia’s ‘Life on the Homefront’ symposium, in connection with the exhibition, ‘The Home Front: Australia during the First World War.’ Together with Professor Melanie Oppenheimer of Flinders University, Dr Ziino conducted a discussion on ‘War and Peace on the Home Front’, opening up the deep currents of anxiety and tension that dominated private life and sentiment in Australia during the First World War.
