Associate Professor Maria Takolander‘s work The Double (and Other Stories) is a finalist in the 2015 Melbourne Prize for Literature in the Best Writing Award category.

The Best Writing Award, worth $30,000, is for “a published work of outstanding clarity, originality and creativity by a Victorian writer.” The winner will be announced in November.

Maria is a member of the Contemporary Histories Research Group from Deakin University’s School of Communication and Creative Arts.
