Dr Bart Ziino from Deakin University and member of the Contemporary Histories Research Group will be presenting at Melbourne Museum’s ‘War and Emotions’ Symposium on 17-18 September.
The symposium will explore new perspectives and understandings of the emotional and physical impacts of World War I, and how the war is remembered today. It will build on the themes of the highly-acclaimed World War I: Love & Sorrow exhibition at Melbourne Museum, which follows eight personal stories through the chronology of 1914-18 and into the long post-war years, revealing the tragic consequences of the war.
A broad range of delegates will contribute to lively and challenging discussions, including scholars, students, curators, veterans and families impacted by war.
Further details about the symposium speakers and ticket purchase is available on the Melbourne Museum website.
